Choosing the Right Container

Container selection is critical for safe and economical transportation in maritime shipping. Various container types have been developed for different cargo types.

Standard Container (Dry Container)

The most commonly used container type. Suitable for general cargo, packaged products, electronics, and dry food products.

  • 20' DC: Internal volume ~33 m³, max payload ~28 tons
  • 40' DC: Internal volume ~67 m³, max payload ~26 tons
  • 40' HC (High Cube): ~30 cm taller than standard 40', ideal for voluminous cargo

Reefer Container

These containers with built-in cooling units provide temperature control between -30°C and +30°C. Used for fresh produce, meat products, pharmaceuticals, and chemicals.

Open Top Container

Containers with open tops, ideal for heavy and bulky cargo that needs to be loaded by crane.

Flat Rack Container

Containers without side walls and roof, used for oversized cargo that doesn't fit in standard containers.

Tank Container

Specially designed for transporting liquid and gaseous cargo. Used for chemicals, food oils, fuel, and liquefied gases. Manufactured to ADR/IMDG standards.
